After years of dedication to the fiber arts, Vrinda Yarn was founded by Nikki in 2018. Nikki teamed up with her husband, Jay, an artist with a love of color and fine design, and Gabriel, who brings over 30 years of expertise in creating fine, artisan yarn.
Vrinda Yarn strives to provide quality yarn and fiber in colors that inspire our customers to create and enjoy their craft.
We not only want our customers to be happy and enjoy the materials they’re working with, but we want to make sure we are taking care of everyone involved along the way. This applies to creating a positive environment and relationship with our employees, as well as making sure the animals that provide our fiber are well taken care of.
Like Jay and Gabriel, our wool comes from Uruguay, a small country with ideal climate conditions for sheep to enjoy grazing outdoors, free from the practice of mulesing. Uruguay is a country with three times more sheep than people, so the farmers know a thing or two about raising sheep! This results in wool of the highest caliber, which is produced in a sustainable environment, using renewable resources.
We also strive to give back to the global community, and support various charities that work to make the world a better place.
